1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using The American Exit App ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. What the App Is

The American Exit App provides relocation research and comparative country data for informational purposes only. It is a research and decision-support tool, not a substitute for professional advice.

3. Not Legal, Immigration, Tax, or Financial Advice

The App does not constitute legal, immigration, tax, or financial advice. Nothing in the App should be relied upon as a guarantee of visa eligibility, tax treatment, or any other outcome. Immigration law, tax policy, and cost-of-living figures change frequently and vary based on individual circumstances.

4. Data Accuracy

All data in the App is independently researched and verified against primary sources (government portals, official tax authorities, and reputable cost-of-living indices) at the time of research. However:

• Data is reviewed and updated periodically, not in real time.
• Visa thresholds, tax rates, program availability, and cost-of-living figures can change without notice.
• Users must independently confirm all figures with official government sources, a licensed immigration attorney, or a qualified tax professional before making any relocation, visa, or financial decision.

5. No Warranty

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any information provided.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The American Exit App and its creators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from decisions made based on information provided by the App, including but not limited to relocation costs, visa denials, or financial loss.

7. Subscription & Payment

Paid subscriptions are billed at the rate disclosed at checkout ($30/month or $270/year). Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel at any time; access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods except where required by law.

8. Refunds and Cancellations

You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Manage Subscription option in your account or by emailing support@theamericanexit.app. When you cancel, you keep access to paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.

Monthly plans: If you would like a refund, contact us within 7 days of a charge and we will refund it in full.

Annual plans: If you would like a refund, contact us within 30 days of a charge and we will refund it in full.

After these windows, charges are non-refundable, and we do not provide partial or prorated refunds for time remaining in a billing period. If you cancel, you will retain access until your paid period ends.

We send a reminder email before any annual renewal so you are never charged unexpectedly. To request a refund, email support@theamericanexit.app.

9. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
